Photos of 2008 NC State Fair Entries and the premiums won !!

Homespun yarns made with Shetland, dog hair and other fibers .Of 13 entries, 12 recieved ribbons!!

Shetland Wool blended with acrylic , wool dyed  and hand spun, first Place winner!!

Ribbons and rossetts, all rosettes were won by sheep entered in the fine wool classes where all fine wool breeds were entered, nice wins for Shetlands!!

Turkey Roasting pan size hot pad, made with Shetland roving, won 1st in the home furnishings category.

Braided rug 24" x 36" made with shetland roving 1st Place at SAFF

Shawls made with handspun shetland wool from my flock, all natural colors, soft warm and lovely.

How is that for a showing at the NC State Fair for 2008!!!.  The photo above is some of the many many Rosettes, Banners and Ribbons we have won with our Shetlands.

Pin cushion made with recycled wool fabric, stuffed with discarded wool from carding and accented with embrodery thread, this one took a prize in the handmade houseware division at the NC State fair.
